Happy birthday to our big guy, Drew. It is crazy how time is flying by. Drew asked if he could take a group of friends to play paint ball for his birthday. Mike agreed if only he could join them. I think this may be one of Drew's favorite birthdays ever!

Summer 2024
Drew
Spent most of his summer looking for a job, he had a ton of interviews, but had a hard time finding a job that would accommodate his schedule. Luckily he secured a job at Chic fil A and is enjoying it so far! Since it took some time to find a job Drew had lots of time at home this summer.
He ran almost every day this summer, he ended up running over 400 miles! He was up early and out the door Monday through Friday. Love this boy's dedication to his sport he loves.
Anna
This may have been Anna's busiest summers to date. She went to Soccer Fit Monday through Thursday mornings all summer long. Her soccer season spread out into the summer since they won President's Cup and got to go to Regional in Sioux Falls and then eventually Nationals in Wichita. Anna also did a week long soccer camp at the high school. Anna also worked this summer. She worked in the concession stand at the Leawood City Pool. She worked quite a bit and enjoy making money. Anna also did a few tutoring sessions with her former teacher to get her prepped for high school. When there was time Anna hung out with friends or relaxed at home.
Wyatt
Wyatt enjoyed another summer swimming. He spent his mornings at the pool and his Wednesday nights at swim meets. He also played summer basketball. Wyatt chose not to do any camps this summer and enjoyed time at home. He was given some freedom this summer and did a lot of biking and scootering around the neighborhood. He also started fishing with friends right at the end of the summer.
Winston turned 4 in June and Bear turned 1 in July!
Vacations
We spent Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day at the lake. Mike and the boys also spent Father's Day at the lake while Anna and I were in Sioux Falls.
In July we took a trip to Canada. We spent time in Victoria and Tofino. It was a fun trip and we loved seeing the beautiful sights of Canada. There were a couple hiccups of course, no trip ever turns out quite right for us. We were rear-ended while we were on our way from Victoria to Tofino. And coming home we missed the first of our connection flights (due to traffic from a wreck on the highway that put us hours behind) and 4 of us made it home on time, but Mike took one for the team and made it home quite a few hours later. It was frustrating to say the least and all could have been avoided if the airline would have worked with us. It has been quite the story to tell and we can laugh about it now that time has passed.
