Wyatt 3 years 9 months

Dear Wyatt,

Happy monthly birthday buddy.  Big changes this month for you!  You have a big boy bed now!  We got a full size mattress and converted your crib into a headboard and footboard.  We realized you ordered the wrong size boxsprings so you were up super high for a few nights before he replacement came.  You are very proud of your big boy bed and daddy and I love being able to lay with you on it.  We are still working on getting you to stay in your bed until your clock turns green each morning (7:30), some days you do and somedays you don't!

Naps are still around some days, but you have also skipped naps quite a bit when we have things to do.  You have fallen asleep several times the couch on days you have missed your nap.  You are still on the run with us all the time, taking Drew and Anna to where they need to be (like soccer tournaments for example, both kids were in one over Memorial Day weekend).  So life can be tiring for our little guy!

You did catch a virus at the end of May.  You had to go to the doc and get a breathing treatment (a first for our family).  You were a sick little guy, lots of coughing and throwing up due to all the coughing.

We've been to the pool several times lately and you are progressing so fast in your swimming lessons. I think all the extra time at the pool is helping.  You were timid when our pool first opened and now you are jumping in like a crazy kid!

You continue to be our funny and witty kid. You say the funniest things.  I need to take better notes on what you say b/c I always forget them.

You did tell me the other day "my ears turned on mom!"  You had been sick and very congested.

and another strange but good one, "Mom I wish I was a booger so someone could eat me.  I'd be a booger in Anna's nose."  such a goofball and so gross!

We love you our sweet little funny boy!

Love,
Mom and Dad

Anna 8 years 3 months

Dear Anna,

Happy June to you and another month older.  You are having a great and busy summer so far.  You have started swim team.  We were lucky enough to get you on the Wilshire Farms neighborhood team.  Taylor and Charlotte are swimming with you two and your main coach happens to be Coach Christie, the same lady who taught you lessons back when you were four and half and she was so good with you.  She's the one who finally talked you into putting your face in the water.  She's a great coach and is teaching you so much while making it very fun.

You are doing awesome with your strokes and you did amazing with your backstroke and got first place at your first meet!  You also just finished Arson pre-tryout camp and try outs.  You made your team from last year, 2010 Academy.  Your team has changed some, one big change being that you friend Elyse isn't playing soccer anymore.  You are bummed, but I'm happy you still wanted to play because you love it.  Looking forward to seeing you progress this next year.  We get a little break from score now until August.  It is a much needed break, after practicing and having games for 10 months in a row.

You are enjoying your time at the pool and your time at home.  You enjoyed having some time home without Drew last week when he was at soccer camp because you played Barbies in the room he usually plays PS4 in.  You have hardly touched your barbies for months, but just started getting back into them as long as you can have that room all to yourself.  You don't like having anyone listening to you play.

You've done a great job doing your "jobs" each day.  You like being helpful around the house (as long as it doesn't get in the way of your play time).  Looking forward to this next month, lots of time at home and an art camp coming up for you.

We love you and are proud of you Anna Mae!

Love,
Mom and Dad

Drew 10 years 8 months

Dear Drew,

We are in the midst of summer.  You are enjoying our time off school.  Last week you went to the HUW Williams Soccer Camp.  It was an all day camp and you loved every second of it. You can't wait to do the camp again next year.  You had a great time with Hudson, Colin, and Oliver.  You also just had soccer try outs.  You are playing on pre-acadmey again (9v9 and 11v 11 leagues, but playing on the Academy team when they play in the 11 v 11 league.  So you will be playing on 3 teams this fall.  You are so excited about all the soccer you'll be doing!

We also had to make a very hard decision.  We've decided you will not be playing baseball after your summer league is over.  It was a hard and sad decision, but it is time.  You love baseball, but you love soccer so much more.  Batting has been a struggle for you this season and we are pretty sure it is all in the head, you are talking yourself out of hitting.  So the decision is made and I think you are ok with it all, just a bit sad.  Dad and I will have tears over this for sure, it is hard closing a door on a sport you've been doing so long.

We are looking forward to lots more fun this summer. You are heading to Kanankuk Day Camp in a week and then Youth Front next month.  You love spending time with your friends in a camp atmosphere.  Looking forward to hearing all about it from you!

Dad and I love you very much and are very proud of you!

Love,
Mom and Dad
