Wyatt - 26 months

Dear Wy Wy,

It has been another fast moving month.  You have been busy with running around and keeping up with the big kids.  You spend your days running around dropping the kids off and running errands with me.  You do however fight me hard on staying in the cart when running errands. You spend a lot of time in the back of the cart and I do let you walk a bit if you are being a good listener (which is usually not the case).  We also try to squeeze in a couple play dates or activities for you each week.  You are still loving soccer.  It is fun watching you go each week and you definitely have the routine down now.

You love going to the park and playing outside.  You are starting to ride the real balance bike, but you are very slow right now.  I bet this spring you'll take off.  You still love the jeep and love having the big kids drive you around any chance you get.

You are getting better and better at talking.  You have started to string together two and three words.  You are repeating more and coming up with new words.  You are still definitely still behind your peers, but I think we'll get there before long.

You continue to spend your time at home getting into trouble.  Toys don't hold your attention long, you prefer to walk around the house looking for trouble, this keeps me on my toes.  I can never get too involved in a project around the house if you are awake.  I know when it gets quiet I better start looking for you.

Sleep has been pretty good lately.  You take a 2 hour nap and sleep about 12 hours of sleep each night.  Your eating is still good some days and not so great others.  You spend many minutes each day begging for snacks and you sure seem to love the unhealthy snacks!

Looking forward to next month!!!

Love you sweet little boy!

Anna - 6 years 8 months

Dear Anna,

Another month has sped on by.  You are such a busy first grader!  School is going well, you are such a super reader these days.  You don't really like going off to read on your own, but you can read just about anything I put in front of you.  I'm looking forward to the day you can go off and enjoy reading a chapter book on your own.  You do however go off and read books to your "class" when you are playing school.  You love playing school and it is so fun listening to you "teach."  You set all your dolls up as your students.

Soccer ended for the fall and you had a great season.  You really started getting into the game the last month and you got out there and played very aggressively.  It was so fun watching you.  The last 3 games of the season you scored 3 goals each time.  Gymnastics is going well, you are loving it and you go to participate in your first meet today.  It was a recreational meet, but it was fun getting to watch you.  You were judged and given ribbons for each event.  You did a great job and I'm so impressed how brave you were to get out there.  It was something we weren't familiar with so we weren't sure what to expect.  You happened to be chosen to go first for each event and you did great.

Last weekend you participated in a Pinewood Derby Race through Girl Scouts.  You and daddy built your car and you car ended up being pretty fast.  You didn't win any overall medals, but you had a fun night with dad.

You continue to do great at school and talk a lot about new friends that are in your class this year.  I'm so proud of you for getting to know new friends, but also staying close with older friends.  You have done such a great job adjusting to first grade.

We love you so much Bananas!

Love,

Drew 9 years 1 month

Dear Drew,

This past month you've continued to work hard in school.  We got your first letter grade report card and you did super.  You got all A's!  Your teacher had a great report for us when we went to your conference.  She's providing you with lots of challenges when you show her you know the third grade material.  Daddy and I are just so proud of what a good student you are.  We also heard that you are a great friend and a joy to have in class.  We can't ask for much more than that!

Your outdoor soccer season ended and you guys ended up getting 3rd place in the division.  Your team played Under 10 and was division 3 (out of 9 divisions).  You guys tied for 3rd place in your division.  Quite impressive, especially for a independent premier team (no try outs).  You record was 4-1-3.  Your team ended the season with a party at Hudson's house.  It was fun seeing all your boys run around and play together, such a great group of kids.

Indoor soccer has started, you are playing Futsal this year.  You haven't had any games yet, but you are practicing once a week and loving it.  I love watching you practice your foot skills.

Basketball practice has also started and you are loving that too, not sure there is a sport you don't enjoy!  Games start next month, we are excited to see how your team does this year.

Currently your weekly schedule includes soccer on Tuesdays and basketball on Thursdays.  It is a little less crazy than this fall was.  That is until the games all start next month!

In your free time you are playing football around the house.  You love playing your pretend games and keeping score in your little notebook.  It is a daily thing around here.  You also like playing with your pokemon cards.  You've also gotten a couple new PS4 games and you spend some free time playing those games too.  Such a busy guy!

You and Anna can have the best time together or the worst time.  It is a moment to moment thing with you two.  You both know how to get the other person mad very easily!  You two have been playing football around the house quite a bit and she loves to be tough and tackle you.  Wyatt continues to think you are one awesome brother.  You don't spend a ton of time with him, that is probably why he just loves you so much and tries hard to get your attention.  He absolutely loves "playing video games" with you.  He loves to just sit in the chair next to you and "play."

Looking forward to another great month with our boy!

We love you Drew!!!

Halloween

The kids had a fun weekend celebrating Halloween.  We carved pumpkins on Friday evening.  No one in my family will really tough the pumpkin guts except me.  We typically carve pumpkins when Mike is at work, but since he was home and wasn't thrilled to get involved we sent him off to pick up dinner at Chic Fil A while I (and the kids...kind of) carved pumpkins.  I don't mind carving pumpkins and cleaning them out but I go for the very simple carving styles and so far the kids have been thrileed with my creations!  I have a feeling some day they may notice some cool pumpkins out there and not be so thrilled!

Anna chose to dress up like Jasmine for the carving fest.

Drew attempted to carve and then quickly handed over the night when it wasn't working so well for him.

crazy kids!

he wanted to pose with Anna's pumpkin.

Saturday night we went to Deanna Rose for their Night of the Living Farm event with the Dawsons (minus sick Christie).  We first went to Tanners for dinner.  Drew was Eric Hosmer, Anna was Cinderella, and Wyatt was a farmer.

looking super tough

On Monday the kids had their Halloween parade and parties at school.
Anna and her buddies, Charlotte, Abigail, Taylor, and Neha

Anna was so excited to see Wyatt watching the parade.  She loves her little brother!

Wyatt refuse to look at the camera, he was actually smirking although you can't really tell in the pic.

Halloween night we had the Ramseys over for pizza and then hit the neighborhood.  The kids had tons of fun and got way too much candy!  Wyatt tried to keep up once he realized what was going on.

poor kid did smash his big toe the night before so he couldn't wear his boot, we put a slipper on his foot and he ran like nothing was wrong!

yikes too much candy!

HOS!
and now the comparison of Drew and Wyatt both age 2 being a farmer.  Oh I love these sweet farmers.
