Wyatt went on the 15th for his 3 year old well check. He's been doing some growing this past year!
30 pounds - 32nd percentile
37 3/4 inches - 59th percentile
And to show how much he's grown, here is last year stats...
2 year old stats:
24 lbs 9 oz - 22nd percentile
34 inches - 32nd percentile
Head - 18.5 inches, 18th percentile
Just looked up Drew and Anna's 3 year old stats and Anna had an inch and a pound on Wyatt at 3 years of age and Drew was 1/2 pound less and 1/2 inch shorter than Wyatt.

Wyatt's birthday fun

Wyatt's birthday landed on a Tuesday this year. Which meant school for Drew and Anna and Daddy's long work day. So it was just Wyatt and mom so we lived it up. I felt bad I was the only one who got this special time with Wyatt because it was a great day. We went to Deana Rose since he was finally old enough to ride the ponies!
Wyatt insisted on brining his cowboy hat. He enjoyed the tractors.
Since it was his birthday he got to ride twice and they just so happened to change ponies in between his rides. He was thrilled to ride Mystery and Lucy! I kind of expected him to get a bit scared, but nope he was off and happy as can be.
We stopped and got a hotdog, taffy , and some ice cream. I'm pretty sure Drew and Anna didn't even know they had such things at Deana Rose, since we typically go and just enjoy the free stuff. I have a feeling when Wyatt goes again he'll expect all the special birthday treatment again!
Later in the afternoon we drove Anna's carpool to soccer practice and we had to bring the trash truck of course. Wyatt cleaned up the park quite well....it didn't occur to me may actually go around and pick up real trash and put it in his new truck. Oops!
Poor guy had to wait until after everyone was home for the evening before he could finish opening his presents. No one wanted to miss the excitement!

Wyatt also got a Shark blanket, motrocycles, pop rocket, lego people (he is always trying to sneak and get all of Drew's lego guys, and a new baseball glove (since we lost the last one).
He requested a "tookie cake and gummy worms." Interesting combo, but we made it happen.

Anna 7 and a half!!!
Happy half birthday Anna!
Seems like you just turned 7 and here we are six months later! You are doing great in second grade. You come home excited about school and you love having most of your friends in your class this year.
You are a busy girl lately. You are enjoying soccer and have started kicking the ball around a lot when you are at home, all on your own. You spent several days working on your Maradona and you begged Drew every free moment to help you. It was fun watching you two work together! You are getting better each game and are really starting to use your ball skills in your games. I need to try and get it on camera. I'm so proud of you!
Gymnastics is also going really well. You are working really hard on your backbend kick over. We have even looked up youtube videos on tips on how to master the skill. You are also doing awesome stuff on the bars now. You can do the shoot through and a back hip circle. Dad and I are so amazed with your skills and your strength - it is unreal!
At school you spend a lot of time playing with Katelyn and Elyse, your good buddies from kindergarten. When you are with them you are playing with Taylor and Abi. You seem to be balancing your time between the two groups quite well. Life seems good and you are really happy.
You've been doing a great job reading lately. You really like the Heidi Heckelbeck books. You were motivated with the prize you get when your reading log is done...you get a L.O.L. Doll. So far you've been breezing through the books and you really enjoy them too, glad we found a series you like!
Also, you lost your 8th tooth at school today, what a great way to celebrate your 1/2 birthday!
We are looking forward to this next month and seeing what new things you are learning and experiencing. We love you so much sweet girl!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Wyatt!!!
Dear Wyatt,
So hard to believe our tiny little baby boy is 3! The whole family is amazed you are so big already, after all... you are our baby of the family. You are at such a fun age. You are talking non-stop and string together sentences constantly. Daddy, Drew, Anna, and I usually know what your are saying, but most of the time others aren't sure what you are saying. You've come along way with your speech, but still have some work to do. We just love that you are trying so hard!
School has started for you! So far you love being big enough to go to school. It is so fun seeing you insist on carrying your backpack. You want to be big so badly!
Naps are still happening almost every day, but typically they are about 1.5 hours and not 2. You can skip a nap here and there, but we often pay for it the next couple days after the skipped nap. You are still happily sleeping in your crib, so as of now we don't have any reason to change you to a big bed... maybe when you are 10...ha ha! At night time you typically sleep 11-12 hours.
You have been potty trained during the day since January. You also went moths and months without diapers at nap time, but then a few months back you started having accidents at nap time so we went back to diapers. Night time you still require a diaper and we don't have any rush to get rid of them for now.
You keep yourself busy when we are home with all your toys. You love your trucks and construction vehicles. You also enjoy dressing up and playing with some super heroes figurines, although you don't know much about them yet. You love nerf guns and your musical instruments.
Last week I took you and Drew a BV Tiger football game. Drew loved the game and was glued to it and you absolutely loved the band. You complained when the band went off the field and the football players came back on. It was pretty funny!
The last couple months you've picked up some bad habits. You will runaway sometimes when you are told to do something you don't like. You often go around saying "ha ha" if something happens that isn't nice or another person doesn't like. You throw fits here and there and can be rather difficult, but your cuteness keeps things in check. It is definitely hard to keep you wrangled in and keeping your within typical boundaries for a 3 year old since you've got two quite a bit older siblings. We also have to coach your brother and sister on how to react when you do something you shouldn't, because it is all about the reaction with you these days! So we are continuing to work through those issues.
Daddy and I love you and really enjoy seeing your sweet little independent and fearless personality shine through. You really don't know a stranger! We can't wait to see what this next month brings.
