Wy Wy 22 months

Dear Wyatt,

2 months until 2!  Yikes!  Our baby is getting so big!  You've had a busy month, lots of getting into trouble and at the same time you are keeping everyone laughing.  You are a funny little boy and seem to have lots of personality.  If anyone spends a bit of time with you, they often comment on all that personality you have.  You have been becoming rather independent lately and want to do lots of things on your own and if we don't let you, watch out world you know how to protest very loudly!!!

I can count on one hand how many times you've woken up in the middle of the night this past month, yeah!  You are sleeping pretty well, other than you've woken up very early several times like before 6 and won't go back to sleep.  On those days you've taken two naps.  Your naps are still going well, so overall sleep is going pretty darn well.  Finally!

You are getting into trucks these days.  You like pushing the bigger trucks around the house, but your attention span is still very short.  You also like looking at books with trucks.  You've also taken some notice of airplanes.  You always look up and pint when you hear one.  We have a few little airplane toys around and you like to fly those around.

We haven't noticed many new words lately.  I've been counting the words you say unprompted and you are hovering around 12 words or so.  So I'm hoping you take off soon with your speech.  We just keep talking to you and can't wait for the day you tell us what you are thinking!

We love you buddy and look forward to another exciting month of growth and changes.

Love,
Mom and Dad

Dear Anna,

Summer has been trucking along and you are loving your extra time at home these days.  You also like having a camp here or there and playing with friends.  You've been busy with soccer camp and Camp DeCastro.  Your favorite part of summer seems to be the pool.  You are an amazing little fish.  Swimming lessons are going really well, you have a couple more lessons before we are done for the summer.  You have learned all your strokes and love practicing them.  As of now you are set to do swim team next summer, we shall see!  Gymnastics is going well, you work hard each week when you go and you aren't sure you love the working hard, you'd rather just jump in the foam pit for the hour!

You have your last softball game today and you are glad.  You aren't wild about standing out in the heat as of now you say you won't play next summer.  We shall see!  You have been busy playing with dolls a lot this past month.  You love your American Girl Doll, Grace!  Lucy has also been played with quite a bit.  I just love that you are so into your dolls still.  Barbies are also very popular with you.

You do a decent job with you chores this summer.  You do complain, but get it done.  Your room seems to be less of a mess on a daily basis now that you are cleaning up as you go!  Your reading is coming along and you are amazed with all the stuff you can read out and about in the world.  You don't always get excited to read, but you start you seem to enjoy yourself. We've been working on math facts a lot too and you are doing great with your addition, such a smart girl.  Soon you'll be starting first grade!  Yikes!

You love hanging out with me on the afternoons.  You'd snuggle up every day and watch a movie if you could. You love your laying around relaxing time, my kind of girl!

Daddy and I are so proud of the big girl you are becoming!  We love you!

Love,
Mom and Dad

Dear Drew,

Happy monthly birthday!  You've had a great month.  You've been keeping busy with playing baseball and going to soccer and basketball camps.  You love everything about going to the different sports camps.  We've been going to the pool with friends and you just finished up swimming lessons today.  You are doing great with your strokes and you love to race and for me to take videos of you swimming!

We've had lots of play dates with friends and also lots of quiet time at home.  You love time on the PS4 and for the most party you work hard to get your chores done so you have that free time.  You've been reading a ton this summer.  You are still reading a lot of Matt Christopher sports books and we have discovered some books that Cal Ripken has written, you are hooked!  You also love finding non-fiction sports books at the library to read.

You have just started practicing your pitching for fall ball.  We are borrowing a net from Coach Chris and you love going outside and throwing it into the net.  Can't wait watch you pitch this fall!

We are wrapping up our summer and I can't believe you'll be an official third grader by the time I update again!  You start on August 11th!  I"m going to miss this laid back lazy day of summer with you, but I know you are ready to see your friends at school each day!

We love you buddy!

Love,
Mom & Dad
